Enjoy this lovely all original gorgeous 25 inch Shirley Temple composition make-up doll with flirty eyes from the 1930s in her TAGGED original Wee Willie Winkie costume! Shirley was made by the Ideal Toy and Novelty company during the 1930s. Shirley wears her original pin on her jacket. Yes, Shirley Temple and doll collectors you can get excited, she IS the real thing! She is so cool with the flirty eyes and eye shadow that the dolls have of the later 1930s. The make-up dolls are the rarest and hardest to find, and Shirley is in about the hardest to find and sought after Shirley Temple movie costume of all time! The Wee Willie Winkie dolls were made during Shirley's later childhood career (when she was starting to loose popularity) and Ideal made very few, especially in 25 inches. It's a gorgeous clean outfit and is complete except for the hat, belt, and, I believe, one replaced shoe. There is a button missing on the side of the jacket. She even has her original horse hair sporran!!! How hard to find is that! Shirley has a tagged jacket and her original wool skirt, and wonderful original multi-colored high socks with grosgrain ribbon. She has her original undies. Her shoes are oilcloth. Her original wig is stunning and full in great Shirley curls. She is a lovely make-up doll! She is the FIRST 25 inch make-up doll I have ever found and owned. Even though I have a very mint and complete 18 inch Wee Willie Winkie, I was so torn on keeping this doll. She will be very missed. She is properly and fully marked Shirley Temple on her neck and back. She has some light crazing, play wear, and a crack under her wig. There is also some rubbing of the paint by her chin, NOT peeling. She has no broken fingers. Nothing is restored on this doll and she has excellent composition despite her flaws. I love her! I can't keep them all, even though I would really love to. Shirley has her original teeth, and tongue. She has her original painted lower lashes and eyebrows. Her lip paint is original but it has rubbed. Her eyes have faded with age. The doll and outfit have no odors and are from a non-smoking home. This doll is one to treasure. I accept payment by money order, cashiers check, or personal check only. Personal checks must clear before shipment. Buyer is to pay priority mail shipping and insurance charges. I have used Global Express Mail for overseas shipments and it has worked well. I have furnished many large photos but again please ask for more.
