Hand Crafted Dollhouse This beautifully hand crafted dollhouse, in 18th century design, is abundant with decorative details. Many of the items displayed are original pieces signed and dated by the artist. This miniature two story house is truly a masterpiece. Exterior: Red brick face, copper roofing, white windows, doors, and trim, gingerbread detail on roof lines and porch, brass hardware and light fixtures. Two story bay window adds light and tiny rose trellises welcome everyone. Interior: First Floor Living Room: Exquisitely carved fireplace with brass end irons. Grandfather clock, pink velvet wing chair, a carved cabriole leg wing chair, pink velvet tufted chair, pretty porcelain doll, and miniature accessories fill this room. The handpainted pie crust table tells a story of its own. The hand sewn draperies have hand embroidered trim applied and white moire' wallpaper. The moldings and ceiling medallion add the final touch of elegance to this lovely room. Foyer: White painted circular staircase with pink carpet, shows off the adorable grand matron porcelain doll. The beautiful chandelier enhances the detailed moldings on the ceiling. The carved wood credenza and inlayed wood console on the upper foyer landing are a perfect contrast to white trim throughout. Dining Room: Chippendale dining table and chairs, breakfront with two tiered wood fireplace, scones and chandelier, small chest, all detailed with accessories of love. From the sweet miniature tea cups and saucers to the hand painted glass hurricane lamp. The white moire' wallpaper is complimented with the crown molding and ceiling details. Kitchen: The parquet flooring and cast iron stove warmup this kitchen. The blue and white floral wallpaper and the ruffled white cafe' curtains add the charm. The detailed molding above the windows and crown are in keeping with the overall elegance of this home. The chandelier and miniature hand painted fish china are a few of the accessories in this cozy kitchen. Music Room: The piano is breathtaking. The hand carved apron and legs, can only fade next to the exquisitely hand painted 18th century mural on the inside lid. The cello rests nicely on the white moire' wallpaper. The Christmas tree with its own tiny details, and hand sewn and embroidered draperies welcome our pretty porcelain doll. Second Floor: Ladies Bedroom: The four poster canopy bed has hand sewn tufted bedding with elaborate detailed embroidery, the canopy follows suite with details abound. The three panel black chinoserie screen stands alone with the white moire' wallpaper as a backdrop. The pretty porcelain doll admires the lovely dressing table, tuffet, and sweet accessories. From tiny shoes, and hat box, to silver brush and mirror. Gentleman's Bedroom: The handsome porcelain doll, fits perfectly with his four poster bed, and tiny gun collection. The lace canopy adds the tiny detail that is prevalent throughout this house. The chest with upholstered seat, tapestry bench and the damask wallpaper and hand sewn draperies with embroidery add the charm. Child's Bedroom: The four poster bed has the fine embroidery and tufting we love, the pretty blue and white wallpaper accent the white trim, and 18th century highboy. The accessories are a charming miniature dollhouse and buggy with cute toys to compliment. Nursery: This sweet room is just a backdrop to the wonderful baby bassinet. The bassinet of wicker is detailed with hand sewn pleating and embroidery. The tiny doll resting in the bassinet, the ribbons and trim makes this a true joy. The hand sewn draperies compliment the room. The wicker baby buggy and accessories are tiny treasures. Porch: The double front doors, wicker settee and baby buggy give us a warm welcome to this exquisite home.
