I decided that girl and boy twins would be perfect. I really have enjoyed every minute of bringing these two beautiful babies to life. I have taken all my pictures using natural daylight only, in order that you get the closest possible likeness of the baby without meeting her personally. On the subject of pictures, may I also point out that I ‘'never'’ use library pictures. That is,– to be clear, the baby you see in the pictures is 'the' baby you will receive - Guaranteed! ~Colouring ~ The amazing skin tones on this little one has been achieved using my own 'special' blend of Genesis Heat Set paints, which are permanent and will not fade over time. I have applied the paint in very thin transparent layers, producing this very, very realistic newborn skintone. I have also added very Subtle veining to the thinner parts of Lidy's skin, giving a very realistic look. ~Paci/Dummy ~ It is also worth noting that baby Lidy does not have a dummy, However, she does have a magnetic bow in her hair. These magnets are very 'small' and 'very' strong. Please be aware they are not to go near pacemakers, memory chips, credit cards etc. Please note these magnets are removable, should you be the winning bidder please mail me requesting this as soon as the auction has ended. All of my babies are created and cared for in a smoke and pet free environment. ~The Finer Details~ The detail in Lidy's 'tiny' fingers and toes are particularly pleasing to me, as they have been delicately painted, and tipped in a very soft white, and then triple sealed for that 'freshly clipped' look. Lidy's lips have also been hand painted in thin transparent layers, and then triple sealed in both satin and gloss varnish for a natural moist look. Carefully, Lidy has had her nose opened, and lined with dark felt, so she can now 'breathe', giving a sense of depth and realism. Her nose now looks slightly moist. From the tips of her tiny toes, to every hair on her head, not a single detail has been missed, to make this little one, as realistic as they come! ~ Hair ~ Each individual hair on Lidy's head has been 'Micro rooted' using the tiniest of needles and the Softest premium mohair, specially imported from the U.S. Each hair lays the way a real baby's hair would lay, which creates a realistic, 'lifelike crown'. This Mohair is the softest, that I have ever used, it really does feel like very fine, baby soft hair. Lidy's hair has also been carefully sealed on the inside, with waterproof glue, so it can be gently dampened and restyled, either wavy or slightly straighter. ~Weighting ~ Little Lidy has the most perfectly detailed baby limbs,which have been carefully weighted with tiny glass beads, and then topped off with the finest soft fibre.I have weighted Lidy's suede body with a combination of baby fat and very soft fibre. Her little head has also been weighted for that natural feel, and will need to be supported, just as you would a real newborn baby.Not only is Lidy a realistic looking baby, she has also been very realistically weighted and now weighs a very healthy 4Lb 1oz and fits perfectly into size premmie baby clothes. This baby is so soft and cuddly, you will want to cuddle her forever! Sand has not been used in this baby, and so she is suitable for export from UK. As an artist I am delighted with the outcome, of these two beautiful babies, and would love for you to share, the joy I have experienced, while reborning these absolutely beautiful sculpts. Please take a peek at him, he is adorable!!! These babies are the result of years of experience in art in one form or another, and of almost three years researching, developing and perfecting the art of reborning. The babies are now considered collectors items, to be past down to generations to come therefore they are certainly 'not' suitable for small children! They really do look so precious together. ~Eyes and Eyebrows. ~ I have given Lidy dark blue glass eyes, and then framed them carefully with tiny eyelashes, in a medIum brown, to match the colour of her hair perfectly. I have also given her very delicate single stroke baby eyebrows. Many, many hours have gone into reborning this particular baby, partly because of the technique used in applying the paint, in addition to the careful loving process of re-borning her. I hope you agree Little Lidy is truly a work of art, and it will be very hard for me to let this baby go. I hope baby Lidy goes to a home in which she will be loved and cherished, as much as she has been during her transition to, the beautiful baby she has become. One last thing....
