They really are such precious babies! They have certainly captured my heart. (again!) I have used 'the' highest quality, non toxic materials while reborning them, and I have taken all my pictures using natural daylight only, in order that you get the closest possible likeness of the baby without meeting him personally. On that subject of pictures, may I also point out that I ‘'never'’ use library pictures. That is,– to be clear, the baby you see in the pictures is 'the' baby you will receive - Guaranteed! The amazing skin tones on this little one, have been achieved using my own 'special' blend of Genesis Heat Set paints, which are permanent and will not fade over time. I have applied the paint in very thin transparent layers, producing this very, very realistic newborn skintone. I have added very Subtle veining to the thinner parts of Lieke's skin, and even added broken capillaries and tiny milk spots, which are common in a baby of this age. His little head has also been weighted for that natural feel, and will need to be supported, just as you would a real newborn baby. If you look very carefully, you can almost see his chest rise and fall. :o) Once you pick him up, you will want to cuddle him forever. Carefully, Lieke has had his nose opened, and backed with dark felt, so he can now 'breathe', giving a sense of depth and realism. His tiny nose now looks slightly moist. Lieke does have a dummy, and therefore he does contains magnets. These magnets are very, very, strong and are to be kept away from Pacemakers credit cards, ipods etc, and other memory dependent devices. Here you can see all of the finer details of Lieke's features, including his cute button nose and tiny hands and feet. Each individual hair on Lieke's head, has been 'Micro rooted' using the tiniest of needles and the Softest premium mohair, specially imported from the U.S. Each hair lays the way a real baby's hair would lay, which creates a realistic, 'lifelike crown'. This Mohair is the softest, that I have ever used, it really does feel like very fine, baby soft hair. Lieke's hair has also been sealed on the inside with waterproof glue, so can now be gently misted and restyled either wavy or slightly straighter. These babies are the result of years of experience, in one art form or another, and of almost three years researching, developing and perfecting the art of reborning. Lieke is now considered a collectors item to be past down to generations to come therefore is certainly 'not' suitable for small children! From the tips of his tiny toes, to every hair on his head,not a single detail has been missed to make this little one, as realistic as they come! All my babies are created and cared for in a smoke and pet free environment. Lieke's has the most perfectly detailed baby limbs, which have been carefully weighted, with the finest glass beads. He also has a very soft ‘disk’ jointed Suede body, which has been weighted with a combination of baby fat and the softest fibre. He is very easy to pose and very cuddly too. Not only is Lieke a realistic looking baby, he has also been very realistically weighted and weighs a very healthy 3Lb 13oz.He fits perfectly into size premmie clothes. I also added a little moisture, just to the corners of his eyes, which adds again to his overall realistic look. I hope little Lieke goes to a home in which he will be loved and cherished, as much as he has been during his transition to, the beautiful baby he has become. One last thing....
