Description
Annette Himstedt 2005 ~MATOKA~Children's World Summit click picture to enlarge MATOKA is from Annette Himstedt's 2005 Children's World Summit collection representing the country of Somalia. MATOKA comes from the collection of a very dear friend of mine. I will be helping her relocate many of her vinyl friends over the next several weeks. The dolls listed are here in my possession. I will be looking over each doll personally and will list as much information as I have. Both of our homes are smoke free. MATOKA came directly from a dealer. She was displayed as part of an adult collection. While here with me she was inspected, photographed and returned to her box for safe keeping. MATOKA comes from an edition limited to 377. She is completely sold out and is becoming increasingly more difficult to find. MATOKA is a 33 and 1/2"" tall vinyl doll with a cloth lower body and articulated arms and head. She has pretty brown glass eyes, made in Germany. Her eyelashes are in good condition. Her nicely blushed cheeks echo the coloring of her lips. MATOKA has a semi hand-knotted human hair wig in shade of dark brown. It is in it's original style and has never been undone or altered in any way. I see no scratches or extraneous marks in her beautiful face or on the vinyl of her torso and limbs, save for her ankles. Like many Himstedts, MATOKA has some light staining around her ankles from the dye in the leather sandals. She is free from odors. MATOKA is wearing her original outfit, yellow top, green skirt and red overskirt. Although they don't show unless you know where they are and are looking for them, there are two tiny pin point size holes on the lower right side of the overskirt, near the edging and another two at the top left side of the green skirt. She wears a braided band of yellow, green and red in her hair. Her necklace is made from authentic, hand-made clay and glass gems from Africa. She does not have her original sandals. She has never been redressed. This darling girl comes to you with all her originals - outfit (minus the sandals), COA, box, and shipper. If you have any questions not answered in the item description, please feel free to contact me. While I am not at my computer 24/7, I do check messages several times per day. Because of the pricing on this item and the sticky situations that can occur with online auctions, bidding on this item is limited to established Ebayers with at least 10 positive feedbacks and no negative feedback. Bids not meeting this criteria will be removed. See my other auctions for more great items! click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge When appropriate, I am happy to combine shipping for multiple purchases, shipped as one unit, based on the exact weight of the combined items. Individually boxed dolls can not be combined. Payment is due within 7 days of auction's close or the item will be relisted or offered to the next highest bidder. Please contact me within three days of auction's end with a shipping address so that I can get your item(s) ready to go. Paypal is my preferred method of payment. Established Ebayers (more than 10 positive feedback) may use a money order for payment if preferred. Please, NO PERSONAL CHECKS. International buyers must make payment in US funds. ALL SALES ARE FINAL so please ask questions before bidding. Items are described accurately, including any issues and or/imperfections and therefore I do not accept returns. In the unlikely event that your item is damaged after it has been shipped, I will be happy to assist you with filing an insurance claim. Because of my work situation I am only able to ship with services that allow me the flexibility to pay for and print my shipping labels online. For items valued at $500 or less, that can be either USPS Priority Mail, USPS Express Mail or Fed-Ex Home Ground Delivery. Items valued over $500 can only be shipped via Fed-Ex Ground Home Delivery. Estimated delivery times once shipped: Fed-Ex Ground Home Delivery - 1- 5 days from shipping date Priority Mail - 2 - 3 days from shipping date Express Mail - 2 - 3 days from shipping date Since Ebay's calculation function does not include Fed-Ex rates, I have calculated cost for shipping on MATOKA from the east coast to the west coast, to give you an idea. Your actual shipping cost may be lower. If you happen to pay for your item before I send you an invoice, I will refund the difference if there is one. Otherwise, I will send an invoice with the correct shipping fee. Generally, deliveries for doll purchases via Fed-Ex Ground Home Delivery are between $25 - $45 depending on your part of the country and the value of the doll. Shipping charges are based on the actual weight of the item from zip code 01851. Doll clothing items are shipped via USPS unless combined with a larger doll purchase. In that case they can be shipped via Fed-Ex. A signature is required on all doll deliveries. In most cases I ship within a business day or two of receiving payment. If there is any deviation from that I will notify you. You will receive email notification when your item ships.Insurance is required on all purchases to protect both buyer and seller in the unfortunate event that the item is lost or damaged in shipping. Insurance charges are the actual fees charged by the shipper and is based on the final value of your item.INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING INFO I am often asked about the possibility of international shipping. I am happy to do so, BUT, shipping options vary based on the size of the packaging, selling price of the item and the country being shipped to. For items valued at more than $500, shipping is very expensive. I have found that USPS is the least expensive when comparing USPS, Fed-Ex and UPS.Please contact me prior to bidding for a shipping estimate. All items must be shipped insured for the full purchase price of the item. I will not ship without full insurance. Please do not ask me to put a different value on the customs paperwork. As an example, a doll shipped to Germany (14 pounds, box size of 39x17x10) was $272.75 to ship via USPS Global Express Mail Guaranteed. Germany will not accept packages valued over $500 by Priority Mail International or Express Mail International. Fed-Ex was over $300 and UPS was close to $400.
