Newark N. J. The box, which is missing its top, measures 20 by 14 3/4 by 3 1/4 inches. There is a second label, this one on the bottom of the paper-covered pasteboard base, that reads Leeds Toy House. Manufactured by Grimm & Leeds Co. Camden, N. J. Patented Sept. 22d, 1903. A differently decorated version of this house appears on page 250 in Flora Gill Jacobs' Dolls' Houses in America. Scarce. When assembled, it measures approximately 23 inches tall, 20 inches wide and 16 1/2 inches deep. It is fitted together using  folding portions of the paper-covered heavy pasteboard that slide into slots attached to the body of the house. Some of these folds have broken off and other have been reinforced with tape. Bits are probably missing. It would be easy but somewhat time consuming to repair this with cloth and glue. From what I can see, the major parts that are missing are one of the three porch columns and the top portion of one of the roof lines. One of the sidepieces of the base has been replaced with black and white Xerox covered pasteboard. All the mica windows are present. The door is detached.
