Description
With a beautiful palette of vintage colors, my newest Panda bear has an antique appeal and contemporary style. Her old-ivory fur brings an attractive contrast to her jet black fur, resulting in a rich and dramatic overall appearance. I am pleased to offer Shiloh, a One-Of-A-Kind mohair Panda bruin by Cathy Lynn Forcino. A center-seam bear, Shiloh gets her warm and inviting expression from lovely large glass eyes surrounded by airbrushed Panda patches and underlined with white felt. Such a sweet gaze! Her carefully hand-stitched Perle cotton nose was sealed with an ample coat of wax, giving it a nice shine. Her deeply cupped ears are set high and back on her head, making room for her pretty spring green bow in a leafy print. Why, who is that peeking out from behind Shiloh’s pretty little dress? Shiloh has her very own little Panda bear to play with, but he sure seems like a shy one! Oh, here he is! Shiloh’s little friend is a vintage Panda bear created by the wonderful Ganz company in 1997. I found him on a recent antiques trip and fell in love with his sweet baby face. His name is Potsie, and he is 5 inches tall and fully jointed. I changed his ribbon to a brick-red floral fabric that matches the red accents in Shiloh’s dress. Isn’t he the perfect little friend for Shiloh? Speaking of Shiloh’s dress -- this heavy cotton designer frock just shouted "Panda bear!" when I found it, and I chose Shiloh’s fur colors especially to coordinate with this wonderful dress. It has beautiful detailing, not the least of which is the fantastic Asian scene printed all around the skirt. From the Pagodas to the bamboo and the willow trees, Shiloh’s dress tells a story all its own. The front of the dress is accented with tiny faceted jewels that punctuate the scene and add a touch of glamour. Around the collar and bottom of the skirt you’ll find a nutmeg-colored braided trim. The spring green sleeves and collar bring a fresh airy appeal to the dress. Shiloh features true Panda coloring with her ebony upper body and ivory belly and fanny. Her paw pads were created from ivory mohair in order for her airbrushed outlines and precious little hand-stitched claws to show up well. She measures 16 inches in length and is fully and securely jointed with discs, locknuts and bolts for long-lasting heirloom quality. Filled with polyfilling, Shiloh has been nicely weighted with a pillow of glass pellets tucked into her tummy. A One-Of-A-Kind original creation, Shiloh comes with a sewn-in label as well as a signed swing-tag. She is guaranteed to absolutely delight upon arrival at your den or your money will be cheerfully refunded upon her return. She is an adult collectable and is not intended for young children. I welcome your questions and always enjoy your comments and letters, so please feel free to contact me at: Cathy@CathyLynnForcino.com If you would like to be notified whenever there are new bears arriving, feel free to write and I’ll add your name to my list.
